Senator Andrew J. Lanza
Senator Lanza is an attorney and a New York State Senator representing the 24th Senate District. He is a former member of the New York City Council.
Senator Lanza received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University and his law degree from Fordham University School of Law. Senator Lanza has a broad legal and corporate background which began at KPMG Peat Marwick where he was a Senior Auditor in charge of auditing public and private firms, banks and hospitals. He also served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor.
As a State Senator he is Chairman of the Senate Ethics Committee and Co-Chair of the Legislative Ethics Commission, a member of the Senate Committees on Education, Transportation, Codes, Education, Aging, Cities, Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, Judiciary, and the Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee.
At the City Council he sat on the Education Committee, Land Use Committee, Sanitation and Solid Waste Committees, Standard, and Ethics Committee, Environmental and Transportation Committee, as well as the Sub-Committee on Planning, Dispositions and Concessions.
When he is not fighting to protect your rights in Albany, Senator Lanza is an active practicing partner at the Firm.
Senator Lanza is admitted for the practice law to the Bars of New York, New Jersey, Southern Federal District Court of New York, and District of New Jersey.
